Ngomano is a farmers' co-operative society in Nyeri County, in Kenya's central highlands — heartland of the classic SL28 variety. Member smallholders deliver ripe cherry to the society's washing station, where it is pulped, fermented, washed and slow-dried on raised tables. It is this meticulous wet-processing that gives Nyeri coffees their bright acidity and deep blackcurrant character.
