Samaria Farm sits in Belén de Umbría, in Colombia's renowned Risaralda coffee region. Established in the 1930s and in the same family for four generations, the farm has built a reputation for exceptional coffee through traditional farming methods, careful cultivation and a commitment to continual improvement. This lot of Caturra is cultivated at approximately 1,600 metres. After a traditional washed process with a 12-hour fermentation, the coffee travels to Descafecol in Tolima, where it is naturally decaffeinated using the renowned sugarcane (EA) process — ethyl acetate derived from fermented sugar cane gently removes the caffeine while preserving the coffee's sweetness, structure and clarity.
